\/* No background color *\/\n    filter: invert(0) brightness(0); \/* Make arrows black *\/\n}\n\n<\/style>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group card card-block col-12  mb-4 mb-lg-5 p-3 p-lg-4 is-vertical is-content-justification-left is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-adc7e0b5 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-research\">Research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Research interests:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quantum Information Science<\/strong>: Quantum optics based on semiconductor and topological insulator materials, optically mediated quantum information processing with qubits defined in quantum dots that are embedded in nanocavities inside a photonic crystal, quantum cryptography.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wide-band Gap Semiconductor Materials<\/strong>: Study nonlinear optical effects, such as 4-wave mixing spectroscopy, many-exciton correlations, single-photon and many-photon entangled-photon sources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Topological Insulator and Weyl Semimetal Materials<\/strong>: Study electronic properties of nanostructures linear and nonlinear optical effects, plasmonic effects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Graphene<\/strong>: Model mid-IR photodetectors and mid-IR thermal emitters based on the plasmonically enhanced photothermoelectric effect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2D materials beyond graphene<\/strong>: Investigate and model transistors, photodetectors, and sensors based on 2D layered materials.
