The Hickman lab is working towards advancing its in vitro technologies toward the development of physiologically relevant models of human disease for drug development and modeling applications. We have been able to effectively model amyloid β neurotoxicity in vitro as an effective model of Alzheimer’s disease. Using this model, we investigated the ability of circumin to reverse amyloid β mediated toxicity. Results so far have been extremely promising and represent a first step towards effective modeling of human diseases in vitro.
