New research by Jiyu Fang graces the cover of the August issue of the Journal of Materials Science.
The journal article features his group’s research on the synthesis of ultralight, superhydrophobic and superoleophilic “sponge-like” aerogels.
Dr. Fang is an associate professor in the University of Central Florida’s Advanced Materials Processing and Analysis Center as well as the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
He leads the Fang Research Group at UCF, with a focus on materials, chemistry, and biology. Their work emphasizes the design, synthesis and self-assembly of soft/hybrid materials for biomedical and energy applications. Their interests extend from fundamental science to technological applications.
