Ashley Ewh is the winner of the 2012-2013 University Award for the Outstanding Master’s Thesis. Ashley was a graduate student with Dr. Yongho Sohn’s research group.
Ewh’s thesis was selected by the University of Central Florida Graduate Council from a group of finalists. This award recognizes the quality, content and exceptional contribution to her field of Materials Science & Engineering. Ewh will be honored at the Graduate Awards Breakfast on Friday, April 12, 2013.
Last year, Ashley was awarded the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. In 2011, she won the Order of Pegasus award, the highest honor UCF gives to students. During her college career, she has received other awards like the Barry M Goldwater scholarship and the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation award, which was founded by the surviving Mercury Seven astronauts.
Ashley is now at Northwestern University pursuing a Ph.D. In Materials Science and Engineering.
