A Graduate Research Assistantship is available immediately for a Ph.D. student at the UCF NanoScience Technology Center. During his/her graduate studies, the student will be conducting research on activatable fluorescent probes for various extracellular and intracellular imaging and sensing applications. Our nano/bio collaborative research team is currently investigating new approaches to effectively deliver therapeutic cargoes inside cancer cells, quantifying the amount of cargoes delivered through imaging, and evaluating therapeutic efficacy. The student will work within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary research environment, while being enrolled in a program towards obtaining a Ph.D. in Chemistry. Requirements

A Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required. Experience working in a research laboratory is preferred and skills in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization are desired but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for the successful candidate.
