Alireza Safaei and Daniel Franklin are winners of the 2014 Northrop Grumman Scholarship. Alireza was awarded $10,000, and Daniel was awarded $3,000.
Both students are Ph.D. candidates in Dr. Debashis Chanda’s Nano-Optics research group. They will be recognized at the UCF College of Sciences Scholarship Luncheon during the spring term.
The Northrop Grumman Scholarship recognizes students that demonstrate commitment and dedication to pursuing an education in optics. There were only four winners selected for this year’s scholarship.
